Whenever I’m tempted to think God doesn’t like me, or isn’t working on good things for me, I try to remember that this was the very first lie that any of us ever believed. Distrust was our first misstep. And it is the very thing God the Son destroys by choosing to be *born.* God is the godman, Jesus, forever. Adding humanity to his divinity was not a mistake, and therefore not something that can or will be undone. God said yes to his humanity forever. Think on that. We ought to trust that he likes us, and live, giving thanks for it.
