In one of my previous posts I discussed how we can pray to be joyful. I believe God answers those prayers, and one of the ways he answers them is by revealing himself to us through Scripture. This week while studying Isaiah 19, I was reminded about how throughout scripture God calls his people “my inheritance” like we’re his greatest treasure. Sometimes I think of my own children as my greatest treasure, and it occasionally brings tears to my eyes to think God thinks of us that way, in spite of how we think of Him. It’s so much easier to stay joyful when we know how much God treasures us.
